Now look, kids...
An old, wizened, Scotch Bonnet chile imparting wisdom to some young upstart green finger chiles (no idea of the varietal - they were a hurried purchase from Sainsbury's, but they are quite hot to eat whole).
I lobbed twenty of the latter (with seeds) into tonight's batch of warm loveliness. Hoping they mature nicely overnight.
Did the first recycling and bin evening tonight since the sofamonster and his rib shifted their indolent arses off my sofa a fortnight ago. In two weeks I've filled 1/4 of a black bag bag with non-recycleable stuff (as opposed to one bag per week beforehand) and the recycling has dropped so that it actually fits in the receptacles instead of four extra bags of plastic, metal and glass.
It's all good.
