Encased............

The channel that leads out of the lake at Trentham Gardens is providing some great frozen abstracts while we're having this really cold weather. The plants on either side are being encased in ice creating some wonderful frozen sculptures.

We also saw about 8 Little Egrets sheltering near one of islands on the lake. Despite much of the lake being frozen, it must be offering some overnight shelter and food. We also have an overwintering population of cormorants too.

Tonight's camera club Zoom meeting was about black and white photography. We're all taking a turn to present a subject or share some images each week. It's really interesting to see how we all think about things differently. Tonight's was about the history, and how to approach black and white photography.
