Frosty Smile.....

We walked over Downs Banks near Barlaston today. An area owned and managed by the National Trust. As it was still freezing weather we knew the fields wouldn't be muddy. The path across one field had widened so much over the last year due to the increased numbers of folks walking across it. I bet the farmer's not too pleased. I've no idea how much of the crop they will have lost.

We passed this icy scene along a country road on our way back towards the Trent and Mersey Canal.
