Special
2.30am the littlest was inexplicably sick. It didn't happen again and he's been right as rain today. He did however have a giant spot/blister thing in the crook of his hand between thumb and forefinger which needed lancing and dressing and which caused an enormous amount of trauma. He decided going back to sleep was the best thing to do and had breakfast at gone 11am when he resurfaced!
We had a proper "weekend" day today. All of us, just being together, doing not very much, Bean and Steve watching movies (Bean asking lots of questions!) and Bear sleeping fitfully on me, crying and raising his hand in protest of it still hurting.
Started a new drawing before lunch - I should finish the Peacock really but this needed to come down off the wall before Bear pulled it down and destroyed it. It'll be the very first Mama / Bear collaboration! That makes me smile lots :)
Loooong walk this afternoon to give the Bear another chance to sleep and sleep he did. Lovely walk to get mounting supplies for prints and originals.
And, proof that miracles DO happen.
Somehow, with lots of talking and explaining and reassuring (and promise that they can come into our bed when they wake up), I've got both the Bean AND the Bear asleep in their own beds in their own room!!!
Bean is surrounded by toys which he was really happy to be reunited with, and he climbed into bed himself; and Bear was super excited to have his own bed and duvet and took a while to settle but I think the novelty of it should mean they might go to bed in their own room a few more times at least :)
Really odd going to bed in our own bed without extra little bodies wriggling around! I wonder who's going to wake up and go to them when they wake?
