Pieces of Ice
I think today is meant to be the last really cold day for a while, which I hope is true as it was absolutely freezing on this afternoon’s walk.
Well, not totally freezing - the river was still flowing as normal. But near the bank, where there was less current and it was a lot shallower, I noticed that ice was starting to form around some of the vegetation. Just small balls of ice, but they were certainly eye catching and looked most attractive as the reflections changed due to ripples caused by the wind.
Apart from that very cold walk, nothing else of any note happened today. Looks like it’s going to be hunkering down in front of the telly for the evening again. With the curtains firmly shut and the fire full on. And probably an early night as well because Mrs C gets her covid jab in the morning, and we don’t want to be late!
