Mind your step . . .

A very chilly day, with the thermometer reading -18C at breakfast time. The cold spell had been long enough for the lake to freeze over, so I was keen to get out for an excursion on the Ice. 

In the afternoon i headed out onto the ice, where lots of people were skating and playing hockey. It was quite an 'adventure' - at some points you could hear the ice quietly cracking underneath your feet. After I reach ed the shore again I looked back to see someone less fortunate who had fallen through - luckily the lake is only 2 feet deep . . .
