First daffodil

Daffodils don't do very well here generally but I've put various bulbs in the garden and this one has just flowered. Very pretty but it won't last long.
I didn't get much done today... had a short walk and a coffee with a friend. Also had a long zoom call with my sister and brother to discuss Mum. Sadly after all these weeks of isolation in hospital she has deteriorated mentally so rapidly that though the hospital is ready to discharge her, it doesn't seem like she'll be able to cope at home any more, even with frequent visits from carers. They're going to try and find an interim place in a residential home as a first step. So awful that noone is allowed to go up there to see her.
