Spring even nearer!

Warmer temperatures and hot sun continued to melt the snow but still lots of ice underfoot. Slithered through the woods to the river, removing hat, then gloves, then opening jacket as I heated up!
Walking alongside the river, kept hearing cracks and , on investigation, found it was plates of ice colliding with the exposed rocks!
Found Pussy Willow and Snowdrops in the snow.
On the river, there was a Dipper , Goldeneye and Mallard. was puzzled by another bird standing on the Merganser rock. Amazed to discover it was a Sparrowhawk!
A lovely day!
