Fairy Cake Math

The sun is back out but its very cold outside so we have not been playing outside much all week. Today my youngest and I did Fairy Cake Math - so much sweeter than school book math :0)
First we doubled the recipe and wrote down the new numbers, because we wanted lots of cake to eat. Then he weighed out the ingredients, counted out the eggs, and put together the big mixer. He counted the cup cake papers into the trays and we worked out that 2 x 12 left one paper over from the pack of 25. We watched the mixer, giggled at the giant flour cloud we made all over the kitchen and licked the mixer thing (after it was done mixing LOL)
So here is our army of cakes with their cool cheetah toppers that we found at the craft store yesterday - yummy, who knew math could be so delicious :0)

...and then he left to go play the wii and I cleaned up the fall out from the flour cloud :0)
