Detour

As we were coming down the highway yesterday 5 army-looking helicopters passed over us from the direction of a little airstrip nearby. As we got closer to the airstrip we noticed there were more of them on the tarmac. A whole line of them! "Quick Mum, drive over there, we HAVE to go see them!!!" ...so we did :0)
We found a service road that was fairly close, it would have been nice to be able to get out and take some good shots but it wasn't a good place to stop really.
We were completely late for our park date with some friends but everyone understood that army helicopters are way too important to pass up :0)

Took some great pictures at the park, it is near the lake and there were so many opportunities for blips but the park will always be there and the helicopters were a total one-off, so they won the blip spot for today.
