Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Robert had a nice morning for his Archie walk today - first time for ages.

JR made pancakes for breakfast!

I managed to do an hour on the bike because I saw that the Djokovic/Zverev match was just starting, so I knew it’d possibly be a three/four hour match. And it was. Though not a five set game, thank goodness. I’m not a fan of Djokovic, and when he bashed his racket repeatedly on the floor and splintered it, I went off him even more. But he won.

We then set off for a walk, so we went across the Meadows for a change (joke). I decided that the cafe was far enough for me, and rewarded myself with a coffee but JR and Archie wanted to go further and they walked on down to Princes Street Gardens. I got another free coffee from my friend Julian. I went and sat on a bench in the sun and drank it before wandering home again. I always have a seat on the bench at the top of the road (it seems like a bit of a hill to me), but three chaps were sitting on both benches today, so I had to keep going. Cheek!

Archie’s favourite snacks - apples and cheese!
