Elizabeth Bollaertz died 1807

Another gravestone from the Ramshorn Churchyard in Glasgow's Merchant City.

Obviously one is drawn to 'Demerary' and especially to the surname Bollaertz. In the Demerary Gazette for 1808, an A.P. Bollaertz is listed and many other google entries seem to confirm that this is a Dutch name.

Demerary was a Dutch colony until 1814 when it was seized by the British to stop it being taken by the French. Now part of Guyana.
