Texas Doesn't Do Well In This

Well, I am just waiting for the plague of frogs now that on top of Covid we have had Grapevine BG closed for 2 days - the first time we have had to close in 15 years.  Power outages galore here with people I know having no power of 36 hours and counting.  Temperatures going as low as -2 deg F which equates to minus 19 dec C.  Driving has been interesting though Ive driven in much worse because being so cold the snow has had little chance to melt and form ice - though that is expected next!  I am grateful that randomly we have not had any power outage at home - spoke to one guy today who had been curled up in a sleeping bag next to a gas fire all day yesterday.  We got out for a walk on Sunday but the ground is treacherous in places - as I found out outside the Roasterie when I fell over backwards on ice - thankfully not sustaining any injuries at all.  Roll on the weekend when it is expected to get back to 60 deg F again and all this will melt away.
