ASH ......

..... WEDNESDAY.

So I burnt my last years Palm Cross ready for the imposition of Ash's tonight , when there is a Zoom service when we will ( after the priest has blessed them) be invited to put the Ash Cross on our own forehead. I'm sure this Ash Wednesday will be remembered for many reasons , not least the 3rd lockdown of the pandemic. The main reason of course is to mark the 1st day of Lent and 40 days of penitence before Easter.
I've taken my trot around the " estate" , it was raining so I didn't stay out long , tho' it takes me a long time to do a little.
The temperature has risen 9%c in S. Croydon ( UK) but wind and rain follows , for me it's better than ice.

Remembering Joe Tree on this day , I can't believe my 1st entry was August 2013 . I would be lost without looking at and taking a blip each day. Is it addictive - - YES. Is it great company - - YES . Would I be without it - - - NO not at all, I've met virtually and face to face many people and made friends for life, so thank you everyone and most of all Joe Tree who's initiative got the " show on the road".
