Ready for the chop

My only reaction to yesterday’s vaccine was feeling a bit weary and a mild headache.  W didn’t get off so lightly, developing really feverish symptoms.  She couldn’t get warm so went to bed early and woke up in the middle of the night with quite a temperature.  To be honest, I was rather concerned but reading the leaflet we were given it was clear that a fever, whilst not common, was not unexpected.  She’s still feeling rough but better than last night; hopefully it means her body is making lots of Covid antibodies!

It was rather unfortunate, given how we felt, that today was the day that our landlord’s roofers came in to sort out a few snagging problems.  There’s been lots of banging, scraping and hammering going on above us all day, with occasional views of builders’ feet and bums through the Velux windows in the roof.  Not a day for photography, so here’s some celeriac about to be made into mash.
