Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Archie’s vet student came this morning and brought her flatmate, who is studying maths (well, somebody has to). They had a nice long windswept walk up Blackford Hill then happily went back to their wee flat to study. Archie is the highlight of the week.

I popped up to the surgery for a routine blood test, which was the most exciting thing that happened today. No, we had some excitement at tea time - steaks! We don’t eat much red meat at all, but a small steak now and again is most acceptable. Archie was Very Interested!

I watched the Nadal/Tsitsipas game. Though the former’s elaborate OCD faffing before each serve, and the latter’s sweat soaked shorts - which went dark brown in awkward places, so looked like he’d had an accident and should go off to change - proved to be distracting.

By the time JR had done her midday fitness session, I had gone off the idea of a big walk. Archie had had a big walk in the morning, so we just relaxed and watched another episode of ‘Deliver Us’ which is quite gripping.
EDIT: Brilliant twist at the end!
