Mute Swan

You know when you're walking down the street and you're doing that people watching thing that we all do, he's big, she's small, that's a nice coat, why would anyone wear that......?? You know the sort of thing i mean, she looks in a good mood, looks like the bottoms just fallen out of his world.........

Well, if you hold that thought, this poor old swan, looked really down in the dumps when i turned up with my Canon. No posturing to warn me off, no head held high with wings curled over his back, just a sad look in his eyes, as if too say, i'm having a really bad day...........

Well unfortunately i couldn't offer him much in the way of a good meal, no bread on me, just wild bird food, peanuts and suet pellets. He tried a few pellets and then moved on, with barely a ripple on the water he glided back to his mate who never came any closer than about 10 metres.

The gliding may have looked serene, but he still looked like a troubled swan to me.....

If only it was possible to have a Dr Doolittle moment.......
Hey Mr swan whats on your mind.......??
Well man, i've just heard that those guy's at RBS will still be getting their bonuses this year, despite a £5 billion loss, and British Gas made record profits, and can't guarantee prices won't continue to rise.............

Move over Mr Swan, i'm getting into the water with you..........!!
