Fieldfare #28
Lockdown 3.0 Day #45
This morning started off with rain and it didn't look like we would get out today, but then the sun came out and we decided to chance it, even though there was apparently a 38% chance of rain over the next few hours.
It was cold in the wind, but then lovely in the sun. Cranshaw Lane is what takes us away from the housing estate that we live on and into the fields which is where we spotted a couple of Mistle Thrushes digging about in the mud. They were going to be my blip today until we spotted a small flock of birds a bird further on. This little group contained both Redwing and Fieldfare and was occasionally joined by the Mistle Thrushes too and the odd starling. They were a fair way into the field so the shots are well cropped but they are such handsome birds that they had to be blipped today. I couldn't get all three thrushes together so will be content with just the Fieldfare today. Hopefully we can go back on other days and get the Redwing and Mistle Thrush.
