FLOWER FRIDAY - TULIPS FROM MR. HCB

These are the tulips that Mr. HCB bought for me for Valentine’s Day - well, I bought them and suggested that they were from him - which is the nearest we get to being sentimental. However, our older son, Martyn, buys his wife flowers every week - but he certainly didn’t get that from his Father!

After reading on a friend's Blip that a “spoonful of sugar” helps to keep tulips looking good, I gave these a good spoonful so they have lasted well - and I have enjoyed their beauty on the kitchen windowsill - but of course, they will stay for sometime, as I do like tulips when they are past their best too.  This one is SOOC and of course, the tulips are my favourite colour, which is obviously why Mr. HCB chose them!! ;-)

It’s another wet and dismal day, so I don’t think we will be going far, but I have plenty of little jobs I can do - if I feel so inclined - but if not, I will be reading the book I bought that goes with our Lent Home Group, “God on Mute - Engaging the Silence of Unanswered Prayer” by Pete Greig.  As the title says, the subject is that of unanswered prayer - and believe me, there has been a lot of that in my life - or perhaps, not so much unanswered but not answered in the way I would have liked.  Anyone relate to that?

Mr. HCB finished his 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle, which is part of a trio entitled “Getting Away From It All” which I will put in as an extra - the two 500 piece ones butt up to the larger 1,000 one, making a long puzzle, so I have made a collage, so that you can see how it works.

The daily telephone calls are going well and in fact, yesterday I spoke to our friend, Heidi, who is also a Blipper and who is going to borrow the puzzle when we are allowed to meet again and we can’t wait to see her.
