WHITE TRILLIUM

Trillium grandiflorum...a.k.a. Large-flowered Trillium. Common around the Great Lakes states and into south-eastern Canada. It's a member of the Lily Family. White petals turn pinkish with age.

Clearly, this was not taken today...but since it is Flower Friday, and wild flowers are scarce around these parts this time of year (being buried under 3 feet of snow), I decided to post this in anticipation of what the forest floor will look like in May. I'm looking forward to warmer weather and some motorcycle time.
