I received a lovely surprise on Thursday.  A package from Anne, my blipmate in North Carolina.  She sent me some pecans from the pecan tree in her garden.  I have made two pecan and almond cakes with some, and have some left over for another day.  It was such a kind thing for her to do.
The HG is happy just to eat the pecans as they are, but loves the baking too!

A rather wet day, it was dry but dull in the morning, but I managed to get a walk in before Cali arrived with our groceries.  We had a good chat and then the HG made lunch. 

The rain is quite heavy just now so I doubt we will be staying indoors today.
