Raven
On Marwick Head. There used to be a raven that held this territory that would let walkers approach very closely and take photos ( I mean the walkers would take photos, not the raven!). I photographed it often- on one occasion it fetched some food from a cache and another time it bathed in a rainwater pool just metres from me. I think this is a younger
bird and it may be nesting on the clifftop memorial to the sinking of HMS Hampshire. It was alone but I think its mate is possibly on the nest incubating eggs already. There were patches of snow still up there and I liked their sculptural quality (extra).
