Dymchurch beach
We played truant today with a quick trip down to the coast for an invigorating walk along the beach from Dymchurch to New Romney and back with a coffee and scone in Dymchurch and our sandwiches in a shelter in the sun at New Romney.
There were hundreds of people around however, as the tide was out there was acres of space on the sandy beach, with probably as many dogs about as people.
It made a very welcome change to tramping the same streets and tracks around home and dodging the crowds in Mote Park. It could be argued that though it’s not strictly local or strictly an essential journey it was a much needed breath of sea air. I like the extra too.
