That’s expensive…

Apart from the trees and branches brought down by Eunice here’s a rather more dramatic effect of her power. We didn’t notice this in the dark on our walks in the past two days. It’s going to take some clearing up and probably expensive unless an insurance claim. You wouldn’t have wanted to have been walking past when that came down. I’m not sure it’s fair to tag this as derelict Sunday.

We successfully replaced the garage back door at the rental property this morning. After 50 years of service the key refused to work. Much jiggling finally got the lock to turn and a bit of bashing loosened the paint holding the lock so that a new lock could be fitted. Otherwise, it could have been an expensive locksmith call-out.

A miserable day which turned atrocious as darkness fell. It’s torrential out there now. It was pretty unpleasant while we were out walking too. Is this storm Franklin?

Susan thanks you all for your good wishes, I think she’s turned the corner today. It’s a nasty bug and you wonder if Covid could have been any worse. It’s worrying that the Queen have been infected. We hope it is indeed only mild.

Wasn’t the ladies curing brilliant? Great achievement at last for Eve Muirhead and her team. Their joy was evident.
