HMS Illustrious - The helicopter carrier HMS Illustrious passing my house as she sails up Loch Long. The other small boats are a police launch accompaning her and a local fishing boat going about its business.
Launched in 1978 from Swan Hunter, the 22,000 tonne vessel entered naval service in June 1982. Due for decommissioning next year.
Originally carried Sea-Harrier II VTOL jets until aircraft retired in 2010.
