My Boy

Stan has made an incredible recovery after his op at the beginning of the month.
I took his protective sock waistcoat off yesterday as his scar has healed but have kept a close eye on him while he preens.
I'm sure he must be itchy where his feathers are growing back.
I managed to get a rear view which shows part of the area of his back which had to be plucked by the vet :-(
I keep thinking of the poor pigeon who was subjected to the same by the sparrow hawk last week. 

He isn't out of the woods yet as I'm convinced he will have to have another operation but, for the time being, he will be left in peace to recover fully from this one.
