Endings

Yesterday was the funeral of our dear friend John Urwin. We had known him for over 40 years, since our children were small and before our youngest ones were born.
He was an English teacher and later a headteacher and consultant headteacher. He was passionate about the importance of giving the most disadvantaged children a great start through a good education and was a brilliant father, grandfather, husband and friend.
I can’t say how much we will miss him. Really feeling the John shaped hole in the world right now.
