Glasgow Science Centre Tower

Glasgow Tower (formerly the Millennium Tower) is a 127 metres free-standing landmark observation tower located in Pacific Quay on the south bank of the River Clyde  and forms part of the Glasgow Science Centre complex.

L and I have been up to the top once on a day similar to today but there have been so many problems since it opened in 2001 that it has been closed more than it has been open. At a height of over 30 double decker buses the Tower is the tallest freestanding building in Scotland.

Good to enjoy a walk along part of the Clyde walkway ..... passing the many well known buildings .... BBC Scotland, STV, The Science Centre, IMax Cinema, The SSE Hydro Arena, SEC Armadillo Auditorium and of course the Scottish Events Campus which is temporarily the NHS Louisa Jordan Hospital.
