The dropped stitch

caught up

Found myself caught up in too many different conversations/tasks/jobs today.

I spent the afternoon working in Kirkwall.

Two memorable dog-encounters - one with a loudly barking large dog, who hurled itself at a gate and gave me a fright in the half-dark. (I guess I had given him a fright).

The other, named Robin, was a small, white, elderly terrier. He was completely laid back, did a tour of the garden while I chatted to his owner, and then sauntered back indoors. He just gave the impression that all was well in his world and in doing so, really cheered me up and distracted me from my steamed up glasses and cold hands. Thanks Robin!
