Into the Void....

We walked around Silverdale Country Park this afternoon. I've never been there before. Although it was a grey afternoon, it's an interesting place to wander. It used to be Silverdale Colliery but has been landscaped with walks and a variety of wildlife habitats.

From this vantage point you are looking into "The Void". A steeply sloping bowl with a lake in the bottom. I hope to return soon and see what wildlife appears throughout the Spring and Summer.
