Any truth in the rumour?

I keep hearing a rumour that the Daffodoils are in flower so it must be spring.  'Twould appear Spring is a bit lazy hereabouts; having scoured the gardens, back and front, this is the nearest I can find to a daffodil flower.
I took the oportunity to slink a bit farther up the Affinity© learning curve too.
