Where is Honey ?
There I am, sat on the right. I’m not sure Darren could have got me any smaller in this photo.
So this is infact Derbyshire, but Darren’s car was parked in Yorkshire, about 10 minutes from home, so still very local.
It’s Darren’s day off and he had no plans for making the same mistake as last Sunday, where the location he chose was far too busy. Today we set off a bit earlier but went somewhere Darren knew would be quiet, there is very limited parking but more than that people don’t really know about it.
We were out about 4 hours and only saw a handful of people in all that time. It was cool and cloudy to begin with but eventually the clouds broke, the sun came out and it turned in to a gorgeous morning.
We walked about 8 miles and I very much enjoyed it.
As we were travelling back home we passed a well known local reservoir, it’s a location we have walked many times but Darren would have hated it today, it was absolutely jam packed, cars were parked up on the main road, the big car parks were full, infact one of car parks had a security man, which Darren as never seen before, and yet a couple of miles away, where we’d been walking, it was so beautifully peaceful.
