Unexpected find.

Another gorgeous day and it would be criminal to stay in. As it’s a Sunday Darren knows a lot of the more well known locations would soon get busy and he wanted to avoid people. So we set off at 9 o’clock and drove a few miles in to the Peak District, a magnet for visitors at the best of times but even more so at this moment in time. We headed for Dale dike reservoir, a location we have been to quite a few times over the years. Some of the paths were very muddy, slippy it was too. There were a few people about but it wasn’t too bad. At one section of path it was really very sludgy, almost impassable, so Darren decided to climb a bit higher to get past it, he was doing quite well until he came to a little stream, he put his foot on some leafs which were really only covering up some very soft sludge, he lost his footing and slipped. Fortunately nobody saw this fall and apart from hurt pride he was ok, though his clothing was a little mucky, hehe, I was fine btw, I’m a little more nimble on my feet than Darren.
We made our way back to car and was soon on our return journey home. On our way back Darren stopped again. He’d noticed a location we’d driven past many times but not really stopped and as it was such a lovely day he thought a quick short walk to investigate the area would be nice.
It was such a quiet walk, in the hour we were there we saw 3 people and for the most part it felt like we had it all to ourselves and this is where today’s blip photo was taken.
I’m having a well earned rest now, I’ve sneaked on bed but don’t tell Darren :-)
