Laugh and the world laughs with you.
Hope this puts a smile on your face!
The other side of the jug is an extra.
Another springlike day, and now clear sky and the golden sun just going down.
A walk round the village, and collected the usual Saturday Yorkshire Post on the way back.
We enjoyed watching Kate Humble on Channel 5 last night. A coastal walk from Robinhood’s Bay to Scarborough.she really made it interesting, and allthe places she visited were actually on the walk itself. Although she visited places we have been to many times, we did learn something new. Especially about the old Alum works.
( Much prefer her to Julia Bradbury)
I don’t know if any of you have been watching
This Fishing Life. A great documentary about the Cornish fishermen.
One episode visited the fishermen of Cadgwith Cove. One of our favourite places. The crab from there is delicious.
They have been trying to raise £300.000 to buy the three buildings the fishermen have been using for centuries, to store their gear and process their catch, and which also house an art gallery and two shops selling fresh fish.
Without these buildings ( which could become second homes or holiday let’s) the fishing will cease forever.
The trust which has now been set up has already raised £225,468 with crowdfunding. An amazing amount in just a few weeks.
Well done. We look forward to visiting the cove in September and doing a coastal walk, and of course buying some crab.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend. They say this weather is going to continue.
Keep smiling, take care, and stay safe.
