Busy birds... Looking all innocent...

... There was a heavy frost last night, but once the sun broke through it had some warmth. The birds were busy. The sound of lawnmowers coughing back to life could be heard over fences. (Ours is still tucked up under a warm blanket, not ready to start work yet). There are other jobs Himself deems more important in the garden at the moment.

I blipped a Katherine Hodgson iris the other day, and so many have come up now, they're prolific (and so pretty). They're taking us by surprise all over the place, because no sooner have we put little markers in the ground to remind us where they are, the birds/squirrels/foxes/badgers expertly remove them.

I've been choosing curtain fabric. (Some very threadbare curtains need to be replaced). It's not easy choosing on line, I have looked at many hundreds of pictures (and then forget which sites/pages I have trawled through already). At last, I think I have found The One that makes my heart go 'zing'. Tomorrow I shall find out whether it's still available. (You never know these days). I'm beginning to feel excited about this decorating project. It's stressful, to me anyway, choosing items that you know you will be living with for years. Mistakes are so expensive to rectify.
I'm very aware that, in the greater scheme of things, a bit of decorating is not Real Stress; Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and all that. First World Problems eh? (Blip is my refuge for hiding from Important Stuff).
