New skyline

After online Sunday school I headed north. To Leith. To support our favourite Tapa restaurant that had started takeaways this weekend. The Arroz Iberico was delicious.

It’s the first time I’ve been in the city for a while and, with the cranes gone, the roof of the new hotel at the east end of Princes Street was very visible. At least it’s the first time I’ve noticed it.

Its modern style will no doubt create great debate. The extra shows its twisty top peeking above the more classical building housing the National Records. The juxtaposition does look odd. I’ll see if it grows on me. It is much less visible than the block building of New St Andrew’s House which it replaces.
