New planting

Yesterday, when I took my morning walk, I noticed a truck pull-up and a number of people in fluorescent orange jackets get out.  I can’t remember exactly which street I saw them on but it was one of the streets along this stretch of the walk. I’m guessing that this is what they were doing: all along Bushey Road somebody planted saplings . In a few years we’re going to have a lot of trees along here. I wonder if there’s a specific need for them or if it’s just general improvements to the environment? I guess, when grown, they might provide some protection from the road noise for some of the houses along here.
