St David’s Day

A gloriously sunny day with a deceptively chilly wind.

The morning was a busy one with “a streak” of video meetings which all went very well.

After lunch we did a 5k circuit which took us beside the railway depot at Craigentinny where I took this photo of a 1950’s diesel shunter. It is still used to move 21st century trains in and out of the servicing sheds. Originally they were used to bring empty carriages to and from Waverley.

A year ago today the first Covid case in Scotland was taken to the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

What a year.
