the ice was rapidly - melting but i wanted - to catch some action - by the waters edge - while running errands - while the temps were good - so i made it quick - and was rewarded by seeing - a handful of coots hanging - by the water - i was thrilled when - they all didn’t just run - as i approached - one was left for me - to quickly snap a photo - of in the icy slush - and i decided to call it...
