Tuesday walk

There was a planned power outage this morning (tree work near the power line) so we decided to go for a 6 mile walk as the forecast was good. Unfortunately the mist didn't begin to clear until at least half way around. We took a route we used a lot last summer, a mixture of an old lane, field edge paths & quiet roads, but hadn't done since last Autumn when some sections became too rutted & muddy after the maize & beet harvesting. The paths are beginning to dry up, but we still had a fairly muddy dog at the end. It was good to have a change of route - just wish I'd achieved a more atmospheric, romantic photo - but that's how it is around here!
