Another Hellebore

Another cold, grey, overcast and misty day.
Pilates and duets with Bill this morning. We made good progress with playing 'Blue Rondo a la Turk' and feel confident that next week we will play a passable version.
My new mouthpiece arrived this morning and I am very pleased with it as it plays very easily throughout the instrument and is very versatile for different styles as the reviews said. Just need to experiment now with different reeds to decide which gives the best sound.
Also finished 'Shuggie Bain' (winner of the Booker Prize last year.) A grim novel about childhood in poverty with an alcoholic mother in Glasgow. Despite that uplifting with reassuring confidence in human capacity for love and care of others.
