We seem to have returned to winter temperatures again today.
The sun was trying to break through the gloom as I went out at 3pm but the wind, blowing up the river, was bone chilling.
I get drawn to Hackney Marshes most days because there is so much to see.
I surprised the male kingfisher twice as he perched close to the path but he was too quick for me to get a shot.
A little goldcrest was flitting in and out of the bushes by the willow screen.
They are so small and are constantly on the move.
I've added one in extras. You will need a magnifying glass!
On the way home as the light was dropping, I spotted three deer in the field.
Two of them obligingly were grazing on the skyline while the third had moved back into the copse.
I took a similar image of a doe and her two fawns here last year ( or was it the year before?)
