A priceless find amoungst the jewellery
I had been dreading going through Mum's most treasured possessions. Watches, necklaces, brooches etc. All with memories and deep meaning for all of the family, but when you get stopped in your tracks by a lovely hidden pile of cuttings, then time stands still.
This was a cutting regarding a school outing which my Great Aunts, the Lindsay sisters, accompanied by three other teachers from Newburgh School. We reckon this was in the 1920s.
It's priceless. Anyone who knows Edinburgh can relive this in glorious technicolor in their heads.
Edinburgh zoo with "the animals in their natural habitats " and after it was all over, they "repaired to Patrick Thomson's ".
It could only be the 20-30s.
Some light relief in a long and very tiring day. Dinner was therefore left overs.
Star the puppy was left with the working men of the house after a playdate with Molly, where she lay on the ground and refused to come home. We need a few pointers from on high regarding the bold stubborn retreiver. She seems contrite tonight, but that will last until after her next treat.
Gotta love a trier.
