Unobtrusive

I don’t think I’m the only ‘Blipper’ who has ‘Blipped’ on the new Liner Building opposite Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth. I believe that this, along with several other local builds, had local objections turned over by Cornwall Council.
None of us object to progress, nor should we, but these buildings should be sympathetic to their surroundings. This dominates the skyline, the road and the area, a large concrete, steel and glass monolith of which well over half of the apartments will become holiday homes. Rumours that Robbie Williams was to purchase the £1.6 million top floor penthouse are probably just that, not denied in order to generate interest.
But what is annoying is the work going on on the road. Notices on the surrounding walls, lamp posts and elsewhere tell us that a consultation is due regarding raised speed humps and loading bays but true to form they are already under construction, looks like we are not waiting for the consultation.
Progress - I hardly think so.
