No trains stop here anymore...

On our walk this chilly afternoon we crossed the railway footbridge just as a train to Bristol Temple Meads whizzed by. For a moment we reflected nostalgically on that familiar route. That train could have taken us to our Gloucestershire and Wiltshire grandchildren ... today ... dream on!

My blip shows the old Joppa station which closed in the early 1960’s. The current owners are busy restoring it as a unique family home. (The train in the blip is heading to Waverley.)

The FM had her 8 hour appearance before the Holyrood Committee today.
