Cute Couple

This pair of Red-bellied woodpeckers (he on the left and she on the right) showed up this morning to bid adieu to all of those irritating little ButterButts. Those Yellow-rumped warblers stuffed in as much of the delicious suet as they could and carefully waddled to the designated departure area. Then they went airborne as a flock, without even so much as a backward glance! See you next fall ButterButts! 
Actually, there are still a few stragglers, perhaps latecomers to the 'buffet'. Or maybe they're 'suet-connoisseurs' who just haven't been able to tear themselves away from the greasy stuff!
