Clara And The Lady

Early this morning I came across this woman - dressed in black, leading her white dog, clearly standing out in the vast emptiness of the square. I felt an aura of good will, serenity and some sadness. It just felt right to approach and ask if I could photograph her.
She was very kind, smiled and told me about her dog Clara, but didn't really look into the camera. Instead, she wanted to shift the focus onto Clara.
I hope my attention has brightened her routine a little and I'm pleased I finally dared ask a stranger for a photograph.
