I met Al today and we chatted for a while. He's got plenty of time to think about things and is very good at reading people. Now 42, homeless since Boxing Day 2009, Al confirmed a nagging suspicion of mine - it didn't start with drink and drugs. Al doesn't want to end it that way either.
