Friday flowers

Poor Gavin woke up with a very sore arm and feeling pretty awful after his AZ vaccine yesterday evening. He has been working all day but is struggling a bit, so hopefully these side effects will pass fairly quickly. 

For the past 10 days or so I have been checking on the NHS website to see whether I could book my vaccine but each time I was told I was not yet eligible. Today however I managed to successfully book both my vaccines, the first one being early next week. My first vaccine is being done at Epsom Racecourse and my second vaccine is being done at Harlequins Rugby Club in Twickenham - whoever would have thought that instead of going to watch sporting events there I would instead be going for a vaccine for a life threatening virus!

Another dull day and still rather cold. I bought myself these flowers today to cheer up the house (and me) so I thought they would do for Flower Friday. 

I had a booking to go to Polesden Lacey this afternoon, a National Trust property near me, and Gavin was going to join me. However he is not feeling well enough to go and I don't fancy going by myself on such a dull day so we did not not go and instead I am about to get stuck into some ironing - oh we know how to live it up!

It's the weekend again - don't they come around quickly when every day is pretty much the same.
