So much more than I needed before

We were up sharp at the allotment this morning.

The kids teach through the night from midnight til 6 - have a couple of hours sleep til 8 and then start again.  So we work around them, sneak out while they are still teaching.

It was cold, but lovely - I dug over four beds while Si strained the soil of stones.  - We moved the polytunnel last week, moved it from its position of three years and onto a bed which has not been particularly successful (we think maybe because of the shade thrown by the polytunnel.

The ground under it, is compacted  - and full of stones.  Over the last three years we have constantly removed stones from the soil - i have no idea where they come from.  You dig a bed over and mid-season there they are stones the size of potatoes.

Si filled 5 buckets full.  Last week he filled another two. They just keep coming.

Anyways.  (See Extra)  It all looks a whole lot better now.

When we got home - i got back to the painting again. I got a lot done but heavens I was exhausted when I was finished.

Si went to the supermarket and came home stressed because the woman wouldn't give him any time to unload the trolley before she started throwing it throught the scanner  - but it's okay - he completely took his time unpacking the bags, and opening them out, andn the slowly slowly packed the shopping.

We don't need this additional stress.
